STAND UP PADDLE LESSONS & TOURS COMING SOON WITH EXITSURF!
Your first SUP lesson will be conducted in the calm, flat waters of either Sumner Beach (conditions permitting), or at Cass Bay. It is important for new paddlers to begin in relatively flat water conditions. This will allow us to focus on the important elements of the board, paddle and stroke. You will learn correct stroke technique, how to turn the board using different paddle strokes, foot placement and stance, and, importantly, water safety. In this lesson we also discuss board selection and paddle sizing.
In addition to lessons we will be offering SUP Tours of some of Canterbury’s most scenic locations. We recommend the completion of lesson 1 before embarking on our tour program. Hires will also be available.
